The proprietors are Bob and Jackie Richards.

A warm and friendly welcome awaits you at the family run Torcroft Hotel which is situated in a quiet yet convenient location just off the main Torquay Sea Front. This elegant Victorian Villa is set in its own delightful gardens and has ample car parking spaces.

We are very conveniently located for the sea front, town, the Princess Theatre and many other attractions. Being in close proximity to the Riviera Centre we are ideally placed for conferences.

Wireless broadband is available in certain areas of the hotel for a one-off nominal charge.

We are pleased to offer the Torcroft Hotel as an ideal venue for weddings, anniversaries and that extra special occasion. Rotary Clubs, Tennis Clubs, Golf Societies & Bowls Teams catered for.

We are unable to accept hen or stag parties. We regret that pets are not accepted

We are a non smoking hotel.

Accessability

The Torcroft welcomes people of all disabilities. However, we do regret that we have no ground floor rooms and no lift and therefore may not be suitable for those who cannot manage stairs. There are no steps to enter the hotel and the dining room and bar are both on the ground floor. We are more than happy to discuss your requirements with you at any time and will do our best to accommodate your needs.

Rooms and Facilities

We have 15 bedrooms all en-suite with colour TV (some with DVD players), hospitality tray, clock radios and hairdryers.

We have nine double rooms, including two balcony rooms with partial sea views, two twin rooms, two family rooms and two single rooms. Four of our rooms have a bath as well as shower.

By prior arrangement we can have champagne and flowers awaiting your arrival in your room for that extra special occasion.

The Hotel's licensed bar & lounge provides a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. A fine selection of wines, beers, spirits and soft drinks are stocked to suit all tastes. The French Doors from the bar open onto the terrace and garden

The beautifully landscaped garden enjoys the Riviera sun all day, so what better way to relax than on the terrace sitting at a table under the palm trees with a refreshing drink from the bar

Dining

Good food is an integral and important part of your stay. The Torcroft is proud to offer a daily choice of delicious home cooked meals served in our elegant dining room. We also cater for those who require special diets, please inform us of your requirements prior to arrival.

Location

By Car: Continue on the M5 south onto the A38. Take the A380 to Torquay and follow the signs to Torquay. When you get to Torre Station/Halfords, take the right hand lane into Avenue Road following the signs for the seafront. Continue along Avenue Road and turn left when you reach the seafront. At the next traffic lights follow the road up Shedden Hill (singposted town centre alternative ). Take the first left after the bend into Croft Road and the Torcroft Hotel is the second building on the right.

By Train: Great Western, South West Trains, Virgin and Wessex Trains have regular services into Torquay. Virgin Cross Country routes run to Newton Abbot with easy connections to Torquay. Rail enquiries 08457 48 49 50.

By Coach: National Express run regular services to Torquay from around the country.

January, February, March, October, November and December:

Bed and Breakfast from £28 per person, per night, £180 per person per week.
Dinner bed and breakfast from £44 per person, per night, £285 per person per week.

April and May:

Bed and Breakfast from £30 per person, per night, £195 per person per week.
Dinner bed and breakfast from £47 per person, per night, £300 per person per week.

June, July, August and September:

Bed and Breakfast from £33 per person, per night, £215 per person per week.
Dinner bed and breakfast from £49 per person, per night, £320 per person per week.

Family, Premier Room and Balcony Rooms:

Tariff 2008

January, February, March, October, November and December:

Bed and Breakfast from £29 per person, per night, £189 per person per week.
Dinner bed and breakfast from £45 per person, per night, £292 per person per week.

April and May:

Bed and Breakfast from £31 per person, per night, £202 per person per week.
Dinner bed and breakfast from £47 per person, per night, £305 per person per week.

June, July, August and September:

Bed and Breakfast from £34 per person, per night, £221 per person per week.
Dinner bed and breakfast from £50 per person, per night, £325 per person per week.

Other tariff information

Single night stays are an additional £5 a night per room.
Children aged 3 to 13 are half price bed and breakfast when sharing with two adults and are two thirds price dinner, bed and breakfast.
For single occupancy of double, family and twin rooms add £20 a night.

Please note that payment by Credit Card will incur a 2% surcharge. However, payment by Debit Card will not incur any charges.
